GOLFERS AGAINST CANCER DISTRIBUTES CHECKS TO BENEFICIARIES
Pat with Beneficiaries The 2000 Golfers Against Cancer tournament and gala raised over $800,000 (including matching funds) and on February 1, 2001 the money was put towards finding a cure for cancer. The luncheon, held in downtown Houston, was attended by many representatives of the five GAC beneficiaries including Susan G. Komen, CaPCURE, The Stehlin Foundation, MD Anderson and The Center for Cell and Gene Therapy. The funds were distributed to the five GAC beneficiaries as follows:
