Golfers Against Cancer is an all-volunteer organization.  As such, our commitment is strong because of the contributions of our volunteers and sponsors.  GAC and the Dinners for Cancer Research provide vehicles for individuals and corporations to participate and contribute in the search for a cure for cancer.  Just as did the founders of GAC in 1997, new supporters may wish to join in memory of a loved one, to show support for someone fighting cancer or simply to help us eradicate this horrific disease.

There are a number of ways in which you can "chip in" to help SPEED THE CURE:

• Cash donation - how?  Click the "donate" button and make a pledge.  A cash contribution directly from this website is the easiest, most convenient means of supporting this great cause.  Alternately, send a check made out to "Golfers Against Cancer".
  
  
• Buy a brick inscription in our Brick Memorial. What better way to honor family or friends who have battled cancer than buying a brick in their memory?  Plus, your donation will contribute to cancer research.  (The wall at Deerwood was constructed through the wonderful contributions of Manny Benitez, Javier De La Garza, and Everett Bernal.   Special thanks also to Bill Covey and his King Cove organization for the memorial's landscaping.)
  
• Donate your Continental OnePass Miles to GAC
  Continental Airlines, our presenting sponsor, has graciously added GAC to the very small list of blue chip charitable organizations that can accept Continental OnePass mileage donations on its website.  Go to http://www.continental.com/onepass/oDonateMiles.asp (this link will open a new window) to donate miles to GAC.  Under “Use Your Miles” click on “Donate Your Miles”.  Your donation of OnePass miles will help us further the cause of raising funds for cancer research.
  
• Sponsor a team at the golf tournament.  Invite your best customers, suppliers or vendors to enjoy theselves on your team.  There are several levels of sponsorship and associated benefits.  You may meet a new customer ot two, if not a celebrity!  Mark your calendar every year - the weekend and Monday before Thanksgiving!
  
   
• Book a table at one of the Dinners for Research Book a table, or participate as an individual, at the GAC Dinner for Research in New York City, Atlanta Boston, or Greensboro.  The dinners which include delicious food, scintillating entertainment, and exciting silent and live auctions, are prodigious fund raisers.  All the money raised is donated to local cancer research.
  
  
• Name A Project - Save Lives - If you want to honor someone in a significant way, (over $50,000)
   - GAC will work with it's beneficiaries to select a promising project as a tribute that can save lives.  GAC supports a wide vnariety of cancer research projects.
  
  
• Participate in GAC-affiliated golf events
  Check-out and support an ever-increasing number of GAC-affiliated golf events which will help raise significant funds for cancer research, either as a direct contribution to GAC, or directed to cancer research institutions local to the event. 
  Events such as Birdies for Charity at the Shell Houston Open, The Administaff Champions Tournament etc. contribute directly to GAC to invest in cancer research and also raise awareness of the need for increased research. They are also a lot of fun.
  
  
• Bid up the live and silent auction items
  Talk about value or money!  Take a good look at the list of GAC auction items - many are unique, and all are great value.  Plus you'll know that your contribution to cancer research will be multiplied several fold.
  
  
• Donate items &/or services in-kind
  The more that essential costs are covered by our "angels", the more that GAC can disburse for cancer research.  Fortunately, the majority of our operating costs are underwritten, however GAC is currently seeking underwriters or sponsors for a number of additional items to raise our benefit to cancer research.  If you can help in any way, please contact us.
  
  
• Donate items for the silent and live auctions
  You don't have to play golf to make you and cancer research a winner!  The auction of donated items contributes approximately half of GAC's funds for cancer research.  GAC is extremely grateful for any donated items.
  
  
• Purchase items from GAC, such as a bracelet, shirts, caps, raffle tickets etc.
  
  
• Volunteer
  Golfers Against Cancer is a total volunteer effort. Please check our volunteer information if you would like to help out for an event, or continuously during the year.  Be a part of it!  It's fun!  Consider serving on a Committee, participating, or being a volunteer.
