Walden on Lake Conroe Golf Tournament

In 2004 Walden on Lake Conroe Gold Club north of Houston decided to host a golf tournament of their own honoring and providing additional research funding for Golfers Against Cancer. Owner and operator of Walden on Lake Conroe Country Club Dan McIntyre had been affiliated with GAC in the past and wanted to extend the funding and influence of what he felt was a worthy organization.  That firsts year they raised $10,00 for GAC.  In 2005, they raised $30,000 and in 2006 nearly $50,000.  McIntyre has made a commitment to continue his Walden on Lake Conroe GAC event in the years ahead hoping to grow both the event and the contribution each and every year.

McIntyre said the Walden GAC event would not be possible without the support of title sponsor Water Oak on Lake Conroe as well as platinum sponsor Seidl’s Bindery.  Outback Steakhouse was also acknowledged for their support as well as DeMontrond Auto Country, Mike Chaplain Chiropractic, Lynch Signs, and Print Mailers, Inc.
