The first year of operation for the all-volunteer Golfers Against Cancer organization in
Houston was 1997. Since that first tournament, the organization has expanded its
wings to multiple events and venues. One measure of our success is the cumulative
funds raised for cancer research. Our events have generated nearly $6.5M and
attracted matching funds of nearly $5M for a total of $11.5M. A list of Houston grants
